Nixon's Campaign Speech Distasteful

Missouri Democrats blew an excellent opportunity to outline their vision for the state this week when they chose Attorney General Jay Nixon to respond to Gov. Matt Blunt's State of the State address.
Nixon might be the party's standard-bearer in the state, but he's not directly involved in the legislative process, and it made more sense to have a legislator respond to the governor's agenda.
What's worse, Nixon turned an opportunity to clash with the governor's ideas into nothing more than a free campaign advertisement for governor.
It was disappointing. |
