Jay Nixon Owes Our Troopers an Apology!

Missouri Highway Patrol Troopers put their lives on the line every day to protect motorists and keep our highways safe for Missouri families. Jay Nixon demeaned the vital services they perform and the sacrifices they make every day on Missouri's roadways by callously attacking their work ethic in his remarks to the Missouri Sheriff's Association on July 23 in St. Charles:
"You don't find any of our great state troopers spending much time on anything that's got gravel on it, certainly not anything that runs through a stream directly without going over it. You might have to take an hour off and re-uh... re-clean our cars." You can watch Nixon's callous remarks here. Nixon should be defending the hard-working men and women of the Missouri State Highway Patrol who put their lives on the line daily to keep our highways safe instead of demeaning their efforts. Jay Nixon should publicly apologize to the Highway Patrol for his insensitive and unfounded insult and make amends to Missouri State Troopers who do not deserve to be publicly mocked for their service to our state.
