The
Associated Press on Sunday highlighted the significant difference between the amount of time Governor Blunt spends communicating with Missouri and the amount Nixon does. As reported by the
AP, Governor Blunt has attended more than 350 public events this year, with Jay Nixon trailing with a meager 11 events.
Governor Blunt is visiting with Missourians from literally every region of the state, including big cities and small towns. He averages more than one public event a day because he believes in open government that communicates with Missourians and knows that elected leaders should be accessible to the public.
The Governor is bringing updates nearly every day to Missouri families, sharing with them the progress being made through record high job creation, half a billion new dollars for classrooms, a tax cut for Missouri seniors, and a new and improved health care system.
Meanwhile, Jay Nixon hides from Missourians, media scrutiny, and the tough questions.
